Allied Nevada is a US-based gold mining and exploration company, which operates its wholly owned Hycroft gold mine located near Winnemuca, Nevada. The company also owns more than 100 advanced and early stage exploration properties located throughout the state of Nevada. Acceleration of the current mining rate for the heap leach operation is currently underway, with construction of a gyratory crushing system and pending completion of a revised feasibility study, as well as construction of a milling facility to treat sulfide material.
Operations at Hycroft currently involve open pit mining and run-of-mine heap leaching of oxide ore from the Brimstone and Bay pits. The company has been increasing the mining rate over the last two years with the addition of larger scale mining equipment.
Reliable Controls is currently in the commissioning process for the gyratory crushing system and 21,500 gallon per minute Merrill-Crowe facility and is using our new software application, PlantSight, to complete the commissioning. The overall cost of the project is over 160 million dollars.
Reliable Controls' primary focus is the commissioning of the primary, secondary and tertiary crushers at the Hycroft Plant. Our team, with Jeff Van Dyke as Project Manager, it working with PIE, United, FLSchmidt and Schmeizer to complete this project.
PlantSight is being used as a punchlist tool to aid in the completion of all three crushers and conveyor belt systems as well as being used as a tool to report project progress to Hycroft management. Using iPads, PlantSight enables the team at Hycroft to identify punchlist items, photograph the deficiencies, notate the details of the problem area, assign a responsible party, and track accountability. PlantSight is also used to assign due dates for completion, track real time progress, and generate online reporting in real time.
PlantSight is improving efficiencies, reducing work-flow rates and improving the reporting process, all of which help to meet deadlines for the project and stay under budget!
